A lady suffered major facial injuries when a destructive compound was tossed at her, cops stated.
The 47-year-old was assaulted by somebody on a passing moped or pushbike in the location of Northbrook Street, Ladywood, Birmingham at about 10:00 BST.
West Midlands Police stated they think it was a “purposeful” attack and the victim’s injuries “seem really serious”.
The female is getting expert burns treatment, ambulance personnel stated.
Police stated it is believed a member of the general public carried the victim to Astbury Avenue in Smethwick where an ambulance team took care of her.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson stated: “The female was offered discomfort relief to assist relieve her pain whilst her face was totally watered with water to assist get rid of the unidentified compound.
“She was then moved by land ambulance on blue lights to medical facility for more professional burns treatment.”
